Job Summary
The Program Manager will design, implement, and evaluate initiatives aimed at challenging societal perceptions and promoting gender balanced representation in leadership. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to drive change and advocate for gender balance through learning, communication, and engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Design and manage the implementation of programs, ensuring alignment with WILAN’s mission and strategic goals.
Oversee program timelines, events, and resource allocation, ensuring project milestones are met and objectives are achieved.
Monitor and evaluate program performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) & adjusting strategies as necessary to meet goals.
Write program funding proposals and concept notes to secure grants, sponsorships, and other forms of financial support.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, community organizations, and internal women communities, to advance program goals.
Represent WILAN at external events, conferences, and partnership meetings focused on gender balance leadership goals.
Track, evaluate, and report on program outcomes and impact, adjusting strategies as necessary to improve results.
Work closely with other program managers, the communications team, and the operations team to ensure program success and organizational cohesion.
Lead advocacy efforts that promote gender balance leadership by designing campaigns and engagement strategies.
Prepare and present comprehensive program reports for internal and external stakeholders, detailing progress, outcomes, challenges, and impact.
Proactively address risks and obstacles to keep projects on track and meet organizational objectives.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in international development (required).
Demonstrated success in program management, with technical expertise in projects funded by international donors. (required)
Proven expertise in grant writing and securing funding through compelling proposals aligned with donor goals while delivering program impact.
Strong technical skills in program management methodologies and tools (e.g.
Smartsheet, Microsoft365 or MS Project).
Ability to manage large-scale programs with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a wide variety of audiences.
Experience in research, data collection and analysis to track program performance and improve outcomes.
Experience in behavioral change programs is desired
Experience working on gender equality, diversity, or leadership development programs
is highly desirable.
